CSR certificate request can be generated from netscaler load balancer if a SSL certificate is required for a SSL VIP on citrix VPX netscaler.
Please follow below steps to create a CSR request on Citrix Netscaler load balancer.
Step1 – Go to Traffic Management -> SSL Files
Step2 – Click on Keys -> Create RSA Key
Step3 – Add the Keyname, Key format, Pass-Phrase
Step4 – Now we need to create the CSR request using the key created in previous step
Step5 – Add the CSR file name, add the key created in previous step, add the key & other fields. You can also create a SAN CSR by adding URL alias in Subject ALternative Name field. If you don’t need SAN, keep the SAN field blank.
Step6 – Go to Traffic Management -> SSL Files-> CSR & you can download the CSR file create by you. You can use this CSR file to generate the certificate for SSL URL.
Step7 – Verify if your CSR Request is generated correctly with correct common name and if you used SAN, you can verify if SAN ALIAS is added in CSR request
Step8 – Verify the key file created in CSR request, add the key password to verify key password is working fine.
